At Healthy Smiles, our mission is to help patients feel valued, comfortable, and cared for from the moment they walk through the door. Our office also utilizes modern technology, such as digital x-rays, automated anesthetic administration, digital scanning, and same-day crown fabrication, to enhance a patient's experience.
Meet your Doctor
Dr. Steven Oxner
As a native Memphian, Dr. Steven Oxner grew up only one stoplight away from the office. He attended Christ Methodist Day School, White Station High School, Mississippi College, and The University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, where he graduated with his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. His local connections and years of experience give him a strong understanding of the people and community he serves.
Since 2017, Dr. Oxner has had the opportunity to serve the Memphis metropolitan area in both private and non-profit capacities. He is a member of the ADA, TDA, and Memphis Dental Society. Over the years, he has enjoyed helping patients with a wide variety of dental needs, from relieving pain to supporting oral health goals to creating cosmetic changes that help patients feel more confident.
He enjoys the variety that comes with general dentistry and especially appreciates the blend of science, art, and construction involved in his work. For patients, that means care from a doctor who values both precision and practical results.
He and his wife, Abbey, first met during his third year of dental school while they were both attending Collierville First Baptist Church. Ten years later, they have four children ranging from 7 to 1 year old. They have chosen the great challenge and adventure of homeschooling their sweet kiddos. In their free time, the Oxners love to go on long walks and read as a family. Abbey loves to bake, and Dr. Oxner enjoys home renovation projects.
The Oxners are active members of Living Hope Church in Piperton, TN. Dr. Oxner and Abbey have always considered their profession to be a component of their ministry as a couple. They want Healthy Smiles to be a joyful environment where patients feel valued and comfortable.
